The聽Vice-Chancellor,聽水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN),聽Prof. Olufemi Peters, and a team of top university officials have visited Abeokuta, Ogun State聽to celebrate with the former聽President, Chief Dr.聽Olusegun Obasanjo on his 87th birthday.
Peters, flanked in the visit by the聽Deputy Vice-Chancellor,聽Academic, Prof. Chiedu Mafiana;聽Director, Olusegun Obasanjo Centre for African Studies, Prof. Mojaye Eserinune, and the VC’s Senior Adviser,聽Mr.聽Adeboye Adewoyin聽also visited the Abeokuta Study Centre of the university on聽Tuesday,聽March聽5,聽2024.
The Vice-Chancellor聽said he could not visit Abeokuta without stopping over to check the centre and the staff.
During his discussion, the聽Peters聽charged the staff of the centre to be聽hard-working聽and creative.
He said “We must know how to manage people and materials and most importantly to increase student enrolment, the reward is based on performance.鈥
The VC and his team also visited the聽Science Laboratory聽Room,and promised to repair part of the leaking roof as well as聽equip the,rooms in readiness for practicals and accreditation purposes.
He聽also approved all requirements tabled by the centre with regards to improved electricity supply.
The centre director was full of appreciation to the university management and promised to work harder to make聽the聽centre聽one of聽the best聽in the country.
