The聽Librarian, National聽Open聽University of Nigeria聽(NOUN), Dr. Angela Okpala,聽has visited the聽Special聽Study聽Centre for the Nigerian Immigration聽Services,聽Gwagwalada for inspection of facilities.

The purpose of the visit, which took place聽on Monday, September聽12, 2022,聽was聽to prepare ground for the upcoming聽National Universities Commission鈥檚聽(NUC), accreditation excise due in November this year.

During聽the visit, the librarian inspected facilities聽such as聽the聽centre鈥檚 library and books聽to ensure their proper shape ahead the聽excise, and was taken round by the Director,聽Dr. Adakole Eje Odike.

Okpala commended the centre for the level of preparedness聽thus far,聽urging聽them, however,聽to put in more efforts towards聽ensuring聽a hitch-free accreditation excise.

On his part, the director,聽while welcoming her to the centre,聽appreciated the visit聽by the university librarian聽and聽the聽advice offered for the overall success of the exercise.

Adakole聽used the opportunity to聽point out a number of issues that needed to be addressed聽ahead of the accreditation team鈥檚 visit, citing聽computers for聽the聽e-library聽as one of the issues pressing for urgent attention.
