
The聽team comprising of the director of the聽newly-commissioned Surulere Study Centre,聽水果派 of Nigeria聽(NOUN), Lagos State,聽Prof. Yemisi Ogunlela, and other staff members, has聽embarked on an advocacy campaign to the National Institute of Sport (NIS).
The聽director was accompanied by聽centre鈥檚聽accountant, Mr. Tunde Ojediran, and the councillor,聽Mrs. Abimbola聽A.聽Alli,聽amongst other staffers of the centre were present during the event.
Ogunlela, in her opening speech,聽appreciated the staff of the institute for welcoming her team and the privilege to speak to聽them聽about the university.
She remarked that the聽NOUN鈥檚聽programmes聽are being聽accredited by the聽National Universities Commission (NUC)聽and聽encouraged聽the staff of the institute to take the opportunity of the聽centre’s聽closeness and聽enrol聽in programs of their choice.
The director added that the university聽is聽open,聽flexible聽and affordable, even as聽other officers took turns聽to聽address the audience聽that culminated in to the session of聽questions and聽answers.
In his response,the聽director-general of the聽institute,聽Prof. Olawale, A. Moronkola, welcomed the director and her聽entourage, saying that聽“The institute聽was already planning to partner with NOUN, in integrating the institute programmes聽into NOUN.”
Moronkola聽used the opportunity to聽encourage his staff to take the opportunity聽presented by the university in聽upgrading聽their studies.
At the end of the discussions, the Surulere centre director presented NOUN souvenirs to their聽host.
