Change of baton at study centres of North-central

Four聽directors聽in the North-central region聽affected by the recent management鈥檚聽leadership聽changes聽at some study聽centres聽across the country, have assumed duties at their various聽centres聽.

The聽Special聽Study聽Centre for the National Union聽of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Garki聽II,聽Abuja;聽Ogori Community聽Study聽Centre,聽Kogi State;聽Jos聽Study聽Centre,聽Plateau state and Isanlu Community聽Study聽Centre, Kogi State, were affected by the posting, as聽signed by the Registrar of the university, Mr. Oladipo Ajayi.

As a result, the affected staff have聽since assumed duties at their new聽offices.

At the NURTW centre,聽Dr.聽Madu Baba Galadima, handed over the leadership of the centre聽on February 12, 2024聽to Dr.聽Paul Ifeanyi,聽who is now the Ag.聽director of the centre.

Galadima assured the new director that he was going to enjoy his work at the centre as the crop of staff 聽are聽hard-working聽and cooperative when it comes to centre’s聽management.

On his part, Ifeanyi thanked the outgoing聽director for his steadfast and good management of the centre he was handing over to him.

Similarly,聽Associate聽Professor Caroline Aturu-Aghedo聽has聽handed over affairs of聽the Ogori聽Community聽Study Centre聽on Thursday,聽February聽15, 2024 to Mr. Oluwafemi Joseph Apata,聽who will be in charge of affairs as the Ag.聽director.

The outgoing director,聽Aturu-Aghedo, prayed that his tenure will be filled with peace, progress and development, as she enjoined all staff of the study centre to give him same maximum cooperation, support and loyalty.

In the same vein,聽the management and staff of Jos聽Study聽Centre聽on Monday,聽February聽19, 2024, received the new Ag. Director,聽Mr. Bulama S. Mshelia,聽who assumed duty at the centre.

The Principal Assistant Registrar (PAR), Mrs. Mary O. Okpanachi,聽who stood in for the outgoing director, welcomed him to the聽centre and assured聽him聽of聽staff鈥檚聽willingness and dedication to duty.

She officially handed over to the new director,聽pledging to work alongside him to ensure that work goes on smoothly.

The new director immediately held a meeting with staff where he urged them to imbibe proper work ethics in the discharge of their duties聽and聽encouraged them to give in their best and avoid all forms of negativity that could affect their work.

movementThe Isanlu Community Study Centre,聽Yagba-east Local Government Area, Kogi State,聽also witnessed change in its leadership聽as Prof.聽Florence F. Fatimayin, handed over to Mr. Kunle Amusan as the new Ag.聽director on February 19,聽2024.

In her farewell speech,聽the outgoing director appreciated God for the grace to have served in the capacity as the director of the centre聽and urged the incoming director to engage in massive advocacy to increase the student population.

Fatimayin聽admonished the staff to work in harmony with the incoming director as he is an experienced and seasoned聽councillor.

Responding,聽Amusan, who prioritised massive advocacy for the centre, thanked his predecessor聽and promised to continue from where she stopped聽in聽the advancement of the centre,聽and for the progress of the university at large.
