
The Directorate of Entrepreneurship and General Studies聽(DEGS),聽South-west聽Incubation聽Centre,聽水果派 of Nigeria(NOUN),聽has organised聽a contest聽for business exhibitions as well as聽products and services presentations聽among six of its incubatees.
The incubation centre director, Dr. Amusa Jamiu Oluwadamilare聽said聽the motive of the contest among the incubatees聽was聽to聽showcase聽their business ideal and to open the window of success by empowering the best CEOs in the region, which聽will lead to contest in zonal and of the聽national levels.
He said聽the six incubatees in the contest聽were to exhibit their products and services聽for聽the best聽to.
The chairman of the occasion,聽who is also聽the聽Director of McCarthy聽Study聽Centre, Prof.聽Rotimi Ogidan, said聽GST聽302聽programme聽was organised for the youth.
“They should have the mind of innovation, putting ideas together, creating business ideas, and leading to building the聽nation. Our goal is to provide words of encouragement to the incubatees” he said.
Six聽contestants聽from the study聽centres聽participated in the product exhibition and presentation competition, which are:聽production of organic聽zobo, organic kunu, fried plantain chips, packaging of local rice聽(Ofada),聽tailoring and fabric design,聽black seed oil, and ointments/ balms.
The panel of judges,聽comprising of聽directors from study centres, and the duo聽of CEOs of聽organisations,聽examined,聽corrected and gave recommendations where necessary聽to the contestants.
Ogidan, at the end of the competition, commended聽them聽for their thrilling presentations聽and declared that聽Monsura Abdulrahman, a 400-level student of BSc.聽Entrepreneurship, who produced聽the聽black seed extracted oil and ointment health聽as the winner.
