
The 水果派 of Nigeria’s Centre for Human Resource Development聽(NOUN-CHRD), the聽Centre for Human Resource Development and Empowerment Initiative聽(CHRDEI),聽Kaduna,聽Root Global Services聽and聽De-Gloxy Skills Acquisition Club,聽have聽graduated 192 students who have undergone training in various vocational skills.
The graduation ceremony,聽which took place at the Kaduna Study Centre聽Auditorium,聽conferred聽187 graduates of the CHDREI,聽Root Global Services and Skill聽Acquisition聽Club, while the other five聽underwent聽training in聽various trades.
水果派聽Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olufemi Peters, who conferred the certificates to the graduating students,聽was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Isaac Sammani Rabo Bustwat.
Addressing the students,, the Vice-Chancellor said the 2021-2022 graduation of trainees from the above-mentioned聽non state actors in collaboration with聽the聽CHRD,聽was coming at a time that most Nigerians聽were clamouring for transformation in to address the challenges of the 21st聽Century.
鈥淭his graduation ceremony is indeed one of the ways to mitigate this 21st Century challenges and fashion out a way forward for our dear country,鈥 said Peters.
He showed聽his appreciation as 187 trainees from CHRDEI were graduated this year, out of which聽161 were were trained in ICT, 11聽in tailoring, 10聽in carpentry,聽four in joinery and聽one in聽embroidery.

He added that聽鈥渋t’s聽interesting, for the first time,聽among the graduates were聽five聽trainees in聽Catering and Hotel Management from the Root Global Service & the Glory Skill Acquisition Club.鈥
According to the VC,聽鈥渢his is a good development that will further strengthen聽the goal of the NOUN as the morale institutions to support government efforts towards addressing the lingering unemployment聽in Nigeria.鈥
Earlier in his welcome address, the Director,聽CHRD, stated that at the 2021-2022 graduation ceremony under leadership of the VC, Professor Olufemi Peters, came as a morale booster to the聽centre.
鈥淭his owing to his passionate quest in the promotion of skills聽acquisition and training of聽artisans through the support for linkages, partnership and collaboration in聽organisations towards making the NOUN a household name in Nigeria,鈥 he said.
He explained that CHRD was established to provide formal and non formal education that uphold quality and cos-effective training designed to increase individual and organisational productivity, create opportunities that enhance knowledge and develop skills that build capacity for development.
Umar聽added that CHRD has聽the vision of being the leading human resource development and skills acquisition聽centre through an all inclusive quality-assured training towards excellence and cost-effective knowledge for societal advancement.
The director聽appreciated the founders of the two聽centres for their foresight on youth development and聽empowerment and also for the value addition to聽the聽country.
The founder and聽initiator of聽CHRDEI, Hon.聽Dr. Muhammad Ali,聽stated that the programme has presented聽an opportunity聽to renew contacts,聽discuss problems of mutual interest such as women and youth聽empowerment skills development, technical education and training.
He expressed that聽his聽centre in collaboration with聽CHRD聽are willing to go into partnership with the the National Board for Technical Education to help push forward its efforts at providing the needed leadership to聽champion the course of drawing up a National Operational聽Manual for the Nigerian Skills Qualification聽Framework.
Ali maintained that entrepreneurship is a source of job creation,聽empowerment and economic independence聽all over聽the world.
On his part,聽the聽chairman of the occasion,聽who is聽the聽Executive聽Secretary,聽National Board for Technical Education, Professor Idris Bugaji,聽represented by the聽Director,聽Human Resource of the Board,聽Alhaji Lawal Yahaya Hafiz, expressed his appreciation for the collaborative effort of these reputable聽centres.
He added that he had聽since extended his gesture of聽skills聽acquisition and聽manpower development training,聽which he extended to old Panteka Market Association by training numerous聽assessors to support the quest of ensuring proper grading of trainees in skills acquisition.
Highlights of the event was the presentations of certificates to the graduates by the聽Vice-Chancellor聽as well as聽inspection of some practical聽works聽displayed by the graduates of聽carpentry.
