The聽Management of Owerri Study Centre, 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN),聽has organised a聽1-day in-house capacity building workshop for all desk officers representing the eight聽faculties of the institution at the聽centre in Imo State.
The聽Director, Associate Professor Juliana Ndunagu, while declaring the event open, said the training was aimed at enlightening and acquainting them with adequate information that can be useful and enhance their day-to-day handling and interface with students.
She added that the exercise was designed to sharpen their administrative skills towards achieving efficient and robust service delivery.
Ndunagu charged them to avail themselves with the opportunity as well as giving the exercise maximum attention it deserves.
Obinna Anyaogu, the聽centre’s Chief System Analyst and聽Desk聽Officer for the Faculty of Sciences, extensively grilled and exposed them with the university’s various websites so they can,聽in-turn,聽direct students to the genuine websites for their academic activities.
Anyaogu,聽while making his presentation, demonstrated to the participants the methodology聽of accessing the online time-table, courses for facilitation, student鈥檚 portal registration,聽among others.
Mrs.聽Opara Amara,聽the Senior Assistant Registrar (SAR), in her vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to the centre director for organising the workshop,聽which she described as timely and enlightening.
She prayed that the training would be a continuous exercise and enjoined the recipients to put all that they have learnt into practice.
