Ojo monitors exams

The Director, Directorate of Exams and Assessments (DEA), Prof. Olugbenga Ojo, has undertaken series of monitoring excises of the ongoing POP-examination in some study centres within the Abuja metropolis.

Ojo, who started the exercise on Tuesday, October 25 2022, first visited the Wuse II Study Centre to inspect the commencement of the 22022-2 POP examination and was received by the director of the centre, Prof. Grace I. Okoli, who conducted him round the centre and the exams halls.

The visiting director expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise at the centre and commended Okoli for the smooth take-off of the examination.

He then proceeded to the Abuja Model Study Centre and the National Union of Road and Transport Workers (NURTW) Centre as the latter normally take its examination at the Dutse-Alhaji centre .

He was received by the directors of the two centres, Prof. Sami M. Ayodele and Mrs. Patience A. Adeniyi, who took him round the examination halls where the director was pleased with the conduct and orderly manner of the examination.

In his interaction with Mrs. Adeniyi, he assured that the little hitches experienced in the delay of the examination question for the day would be perfected onwards.

Similarly, the director, on Wednesday, October, 26 2022, was at the Special Study Centre for the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Sauka, where he was received by the centre director, Dr. Ifeanyi Paul, who took him round.

Ojo’s pleasure with the conduct of the examination was evident, even as he, however, encouraged the director and staff to ensure that examinations commence at the stipulated times.

While at the Special Study Centre for the Nigerian Correctional Service, the DEA director was received by the centre’s director, Mr. Adam IIemna Omale, and was conducted round the exam hall where he also interacted with the staff.

Afterwards, he commended his host and the staff, emphasizing the re-introduction of invigilation allowance in the tandem with the Vice-Chancellor’s promise of improved staff welfare since assumption of office.
