As part of its statutory responsibility of resource verification and promoting quality聽assurance, a聽delegation of National Universities Commission (NUC), led by Prof. Valentine Ekechukwu, has visited Isulo Community Study Centre, 水果派 of Nigeria(NOUN), Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The team was taken round for inspection and assessment of facilities at the centre by the director, Dr.聽Bibian Ugoala alongside some of her staff.聽
Ekechukwu,聽accompanied by Mrs.聽Rita Kenny-Ugwu and聽Mr Matthew Esene,聽
commended聽the quality of facilities聽and stated that their聽mission was to ensure improvements at the centre.
According to him,聽there was need for the provision of laboratory facility at the centre to encourage students鈥櫬爃ands-on聽practicals and to relieve them of some encumbrances of traveling to Enugu Study Centre for the聽exercise.
Responding, Ugoala expressed her happiness about the visit and registered the university management鈥檚聽commitment to implement the team鈥檚 observation.
On his聽part, the President-General, Isulo Community Development Union, Hon. Samuel Oguagbaka, described the exercise as a welcome development and applauded the team for聽ensuring that the centre joins the league of global best practices of quality聽education.
High calibre personalities from the community were on ground聽to receive the visiting NUC team. They include the Chairman, Education Actualisation Committee in Isulo, Prof. Gershon Ejeckam, a lecturer at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Dr. Emma Achumie聽and the聽representative of the Traditional Ruler, lgwe Felix Maduka.
