As聽part of its effort in equipping staff聽to聽curb poor performances in聽the subsequent聽promotion examinations, the Vice-Chancellor, 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN),聽Prof. Olufemi Peters has approved the commencement of聽a monthly聽virtual training for聽registry staff from the cadre of Assistant Registrar (AR) and above.
This is contained in a memo dated聽March聽13th,聽2023 and signed by the Director, Staff Training and Development (ST&D),聽Mrs.聽Magaret I. Boro,聽on behalf of the聽registrar.
The memo,聽titled聽鈥淚nvitation to Mandatory聽Monthly聽Virtual聽Training for Registry聽Staff (Assistant Registry and above),鈥漵aid鈥淭he training is aimed at addressing the poor performance of these category of staff in the 2022 promotion exercise.鈥
They will be run through topics like: the聽university聽registry, know your university;聽staff professional ethics;聽minutes;聽memo and report writing;聽staff training and development;聽communication and communication skills.
Other topics to be treated by selected professionals are: emotional intelligence in the workplace, staff discipline, appointments and promotions聽as well as聽leave and exit.
Key personalities/professionals billed to lecture are:聽Prof. Monioluwa Olaniyi (DVC TIR), Mr.聽Oladipo Ajayi (Registrar), Mrs.聽Omorogieva Ileka (Director, Advancement and Linkages), Mrs.聽Magaret Boro (Director,聽ST&D), Dr. Muyiwa Akintola (Ag.聽Director,聽Human Resources,), Dr. Theodore Iyere, Mrs.聽Eunice Riki (Director,聽SERVICOM), Mr. Bola Petu, Mrs.聽Olufunmilayo Adeoye and Mrs.聽Wosilat Ainodion (Director,聽Council).
The mandatory virtual training,聽according to the memo,聽is scheduled聽for聽the聽last Thursday of every month beginning from March聽30th,聽2023, with a聽duration聽of聽one hour between 16.00hrs and聽17.00hrs.
鈥淭he Directorate of Learning Content Management System (LCMS) will be the host of the training as link will be broadcast as at when due, as concerned staff are enjoined to avail themselves and take advantage of this opportunity advisedly,鈥澛爐he聽memo stated.
