
The Vice-Chancellor, 水果派 of Nigeria聽(NOUN), Prof. Olufemi Peters, has sent a letter of condolence to the Lokoja聽Traditional聽Council over the demise of its traditional ruler,聽HRH. Alhaji Mohammed Makarfi聽Maigari聽III, who聽died聽on Wednesday,聽September 28, 2022.
The condolence letter,聽signed by Dr. Godwin Alhassan, the聽Director,聽Lokoja聽Study聽Centre, described the Maigari鈥檚 demise as a pain best understood by those who have felt it.
A聽team from the study centre was led to the Maigari Palace by the centre director,聽who presented the letter to the council.
He noted that despite being of age, the vacuum the lost has created cannot be filled by anyone, urging the people to take consolation in the truth that Maigari lived a fulfilled life in the service of his creator and humanity.
鈥淗e was a bridge builder, compatriot and an epitome of peace that was loved by his people, we have missed an uncommon pearl, a supporting pillar, an advocate of the people.
鈥淲e are going to miss his fatherly care and protection as he was always available to the study centre for consultations.
鈥淏ut we are consoled that life goes on after death and may Allah forgive his shortcoming and grant him eternal life,鈥澛爐he letter said.
The Vice-Chancellor聽also extended his commiseration to the entire family of the deceased and Lokoja Traditional Council over the demise of their chief,聽urging them to continue in his footsteps and preserve his good legacies.
