
Dr. Oyadeyi addressing the youths
The Director,聽Oka- Akoko聽Community Study聽Centre,聽水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN),聽Dr.聽Babajide Oyadeyi聽has stated that the university has never been part of the ongoing strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
He said this on Saturday, September 3, 2022 as the centre聽embarked on another advocacy聽mission during聽the 3rd Edition of the Annual Youth Convocation of the Diocese of Ikare, Anglican Communion,聽held at the St.聽Luke’s Anglican Church, Irun Akoko.
The聽director and his team preached the gospel聽of ODL especially about the聽uniqueness of the聽institution聽and聽programmes to hundreds of youths that were present at the event.

The youths were elated when the Director said ” we are always open, as you can see, NOUN is not on strike.鈥
Later, the Youth Chaplain thanked聽the centre director聽and his team for the enlightenment.
The team earlier in the week paid a sensitisation visit to the staff of the Akoko South-west Local Government Area, Oka, where it聽presented聽the NOUN mode of operation and available academic opportunities to the staff of the LGA.
