The National Health Insurance聽Authority聽(NHIA), formally NHIS, and the 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN) have held a sensitisation exercise for staff members of the聽institution.
The programme, which took place聽on聽Monday,聽July 24, 2023, at the NOUN Lagos office,聽was geared towards helping the university staff understand the scope of the health insurance scheme.
It was also aimed at acquainting them on聽how best they can access quality healthcare,聽as they were updated聽on the workings of the NHIA.
The 1-day event served as聽an opportunity for representatives of the聽federal healthcare provider to answer questions and address complaints concerning payment plans, coverage, choice of hospitals,聽among others.
A聽Deputy Registrar聽at the聽Mushin Study Centre聽said NHIA聽was called to assist members聽of staff聽with enrollment issues and offer information about primary healthcare providers.
Also present at the exercise were the聽director of the Lagos Study聽Centre聽and the principal officers of the Lagos, Apapa and Mushin Study Centres.
