In聽a bid聽to聽get acquainted聽with the聽nature and operations聽of institutions聽within his area of聽jurisdiction, the newly-appointed District Head of Rigachikun, Wamban Dokon Zazzau, Mallam Ibrahim Sani Zubairu,聽has聽undertaken聽a familiarisation visit聽to the聽Kaduna Study Centre of the 水果派 of Nigeria聽(NOUN).

The Wamban Dokon Zazzau聽was recently appointed by the Emir of Zazzau, His Highness, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli,聽to head the district, housing the聽Kaduna Study Centre is situated in Rigachikun,聽Igabi Local Government聽Area of Kaduna State.

Accompanied by some traditional title holders, he was聽received聽by the聽director聽of the centre,聽Mr. Yusuf Abdullahi, who described the visit聽as highly anticipated聽familiarisation visit.

In聽his welcome address,聽the director extended the felicitation of the Vice-Chancellor,聽Prof.聽Olufemi Peters and added聽that the聽centre and the university聽are聽ready to work with the聽district as a host community for the development of education.

鈥淏oth聽the聽水果派 of Nigeria and the traditional聽institution are stakeholders in education,鈥澛爏aid Yusuf.

He maintained that聽the聽existence of the聽university聽in Rigachikun for more than a decade has brought meaningful educational developments聽in the area and Kaduna State聽as聽a聽whole.

The director聽added that the聽university聽is聽aimed at ensuring education is taken to the door steps of every Nigerian.

Yusuf, therefore,聽appealed to the聽district聽head to partner the university in propagating the existence and mode of operation of the university, assuring to 聽communicate the request of the traditional institution to the highest authority of the university.

In his response,聽the District Head of Rigachikun, Wanban Dokon Zazzau, Mallam Ibrahim Sani Zubairu,聽appreciated聽the management of NOUN for the opportunity to familiarise with each other.

He聽explained聽that聽he deemed it fit聽to go round and familiarise himself with all the establishments聽domiciled聽within the Rigachikun District for a smooth聽administration.

The district head, who later toured the centre to inspect the facilities,聽urged the聽university,聽especially the Kaduna聽Study Centre,聽to engage more in creating awareness through its routine聽advocacy聽campaign.

He lamented that a lot聽needs聽to be done as聽a聽greater percentage聽of people聽know about the existence of the university with minimal knowledge of how聽it聽operates.

He promised to work with the university in the area of advocacy聽to improve the聽knowledge of the existence of the聽university and its mode of operation聽and聽appealed to the university management to kindly consider the host聽community during recruitment of junior staffers.
