Ndunagu assuming duty at the Owerri centre

A former聽Deputy聽Dean in the Faculty of Sciences, 水果派 of Nigeria聽(NOUN), Associate Professor Juliana Ndunagu, has taken over the helm of affairs at Owerri聽Study聽Centre, Imo State.

Ndunagu took over from the immediate-past acting director, Dr.聽Theresa Ucheoma Ettu, who was recently posted to Port Harcourt聽Study聽Centre in Rivers State.

In her inaugural meeting with the centre’s staff on Thursday, February聽29th,聽2024, Ndunagu thanked the staff for a warm reception accorded and emphasised the need to work together in peace, love and harmony as a family for the growth and development of the centre.

She聽said聽staff should forgive grudges or grievances held against one another to forge head to a brighter future.

The director聽advised聽them聽to be careful in all their dealings with students and eschew as much as possible the habits of gossiping,聽warning聽staff聽against聽discussing about their fellow colleagues with students.

The聽associate聽professor extolled her predecessor for her diligent and dedication to work during her聽10-year tenure as the acting director of the centre.

She reiterated the importance of maintaining a friendly but firm attitude towards students,聽stressing that the university has zero tolerance to exams malpractice, extortion, aiding and abetting crimes,聽among others.

Ndunagu advised them to be security conscious because of the prevalent security situations in the state and prayed for God’s guidance and protection for everyone.
