
The Director聽Correctional Service Study Centre of the聽水果派 of Nigeria聽(NOUN), Francis Enobore聽has led a team to聽the Nigeria Correctional Service Headquarters in Abuja, where they discussed the advocacy messages of the university.
The aim of their visit was to advocate and boost the enrollment of the staff and inmate in the Correctional facilities.
While enumerating the admission offers available in the university, he disclosed that National Diploma (ND) holder’s with lower credit can study the course of their choice with the university.
Enobore said聽fresh admission seekers with Higher National Diploma (HND), would be admitted into 300 level.
He urged them to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the university聽to study any programme of their choice with flexible academic programmes.
The director added聽that inmates in the facilities have聽also distinguished themselves as some of them are among the best performing students currently running their programmes with the university.
The Controller General of Corrections, Haliru Nababa, represented by the Deputy Controller General in the Directorate of Non-custodial Service, Ahmad Tukur,聽who received the team, expressed his delight with聽the university鈥檚聽review and improvement聽of聽its academic programmes.
Tukur聽reiterated the service鈥檚聽readiness to key-in聽to the reforms in聽line with its mandate to reform, rehabilitate and reintegrate offenders into the society.
