
The advocacy campaign聽committee聽of聽the聽Mani Community Study Centre,聽has paid a visit to the聽Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps聽(NSCDC)聽Mani Local Government聽A, Divisional Office, Katsina State.
The centre,聽under the leadership of Mr. Shamwil Salisu Bala,聽also visited the Divisional Headquarters of the聽Department of State聽Services聽(DSS) and聽the聽Police Boys Secondary School聽located in the local聽government聽area.
At the NSCDC office,聽the team was聽received聽by Divisional Officer, DSC Isyaku Umar, along with other senior officers of the division.
Speaking, leader of the team and the centre director, Mr. Shamwil Salisu Bala, said,聽they were聽at the聽office聽to sensitive the men and officers of NSCDC about the existence of the 水果派 of Nigeria聽in their vicinity, as well as explain the university鈥檚 advantages.
He said聽NOUN programmes are affordable compared to conventional universities especially when聽one聽compute the additional expenses of聽accommodations, transportation, feeding and handout which is not obtainable in NOUN.
Responding, DSC Umar appreciated the team for the visit and assured them of his聽readiness to partner with the new聽centre in the areas of staff training and development.
Umar said he is currently聽a student of NOUN, pursuing a masters programme聽in Peace Studies聽and Conflict Resolution,聽assuring also to聽do everything to encourage bis officers to enroll into NOUN.
There were questions raised by the officers which mostly聽centred around聽instructional delivery, programmes聽duration, and cost of the programmes, which the聽director responded.
The director also took similar campaign to聽Police Boys Secondary School and the Divisional聽Office of聽the聽Department of State Services,聽Mani, and had an interactions with the School Commandant and teachers,聽as well as with officers and聽men of the DSS,聽respectively.
