A University of South Africa (UNISA)-based Professor of Research, Paul Prinsloo,聽has lauded the 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN)’s efforts towards adopting Learning Analytics (LA).
Prinsloo, who is also聽a visiting聽professor at the聽university,聽expressed his pleasure on Thursday, June 1, 2023 while responding to questions during the presentation of progress report on Learning Analytics (LA) Project at NOUN鈥檚 headquarters, Jabi Abuja.
While hailing聽the university, Prinsloo said LA is a gradual process assuring that NOUN would overcome some of its initial challenges in the process of time.
The erudite professor thanked the management聽and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters,聽for giving him the opportunity to serve as a visiting professor in NOUN.
He also expressed his profound gratitude to the members of Learning Analytics (LA) stakeholders鈥 team for the job well done.
Earlier in her presentation, the Director, Regional Training and Research Institute for Distance and Open Learning (RETRIDOL), Prof. Christine Ofulue,聽who spearheaded the presentation,聽spoke on: 鈥淟earning Analytics at NOUN: Origin and聽Trajectory鈥, 鈥淭he聽Framework: An聽Overview and Principles鈥 and 鈥淔rom Principles to Action: Identifying聽Data聽Hosts,聽Actors and聽Needs.鈥
On his part,聽Mr. Felix Kayode Olakulehin of RETRIDOL made presentation on 鈥淒ata聽Audit聽Process and聽Themes from the聽Audit鈥 and 鈥淲hat聽Do聽We聽Currently聽Know about our聽Students鈥櫬燣earning鈥 while the Director, Learning Content Management System (LCMS), Dr. Adewale Adesina ‘s presentation was on:聽鈥淭owards a聽Learning Intelligence Hub鈥 and “The聽Value聽Proposition of Learning Analytics at NOUN.鈥
Prof. Christine wrapped up the presentation titled: “The聽Value聽Proposition,聽Benefits and聽Next聽Steps for the聽Learning聽Analytics聽Project.”
The presentations聽attracted questions, observations聽and聽comments from both physical and virtual participants聽as they聽were responded to accordingly.
