A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Badagry II constituency, Hon. (Engr.) Setonji David Samuel has offered a fully-funded scholarships to seven members of his constituency for their studies at the 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN).

This was revealed when the McCarthy Study Centre of the university played host to the legislator in聽an interactive session on Friday March 25,聽2022.

The session was specifically to introduce the beneficiaries of the Honorable鈥檚 scholarship scheme to the school鈥檚 system.

Samuel,聽an apostle of free and quality education,聽has taken it upon himself to sponsor enthusiastic youth who yearn for academic success but have little or no means to pursue their educational dreams.

The beneficiaries of the scholarship expressed their profound joy and appreciation as the member聽repeatedly emphasised聽that 鈥渁n educated mind is a liberated mind.鈥

He enjoined them to open up their minds to acquiring knowledge that is readily available in NOUN, urging them to dream big and aim for greatness.

The beneficiaries are Opa Moses Gbetogo,聽Peace Studies & Conflict Resolution;聽Sovohunu Semeton Bolanle,聽Political Science;聽Hunga Joshua Nunayon,聽Mass Communication;聽Kiss Emmanuel Taseyou,聽Public Administration;聽Hunsa Peter Abey,聽Political Science;聽David Tatenme Taiwo,聽Business Administration and David Sesi Victoria,聽Biology Science.

At the end of the meeting, staff members at the centre which include the Dean, FOS, Prof. Ajibola Saheed, Mrs.聽Njaji Nneka, Principal Assistant Registrar, Mr.聽Lasisi Akintayo, Deputy Bursar, Mrs.聽Makbere A. U., Chief Counselor and Mrs.聽Moses Abidael, Assistant聽Chief Technical聽Officer,聽presented souvenirs as tokens of appreciation to the esteemed guest.
