The advocacy team giving out leaflets to residents

In order to promote and bring the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) style of education to every door in the country, the Lagos聽Study聽Centre has reached out to the Victoria Island as part of its series of advocacy activities.

The director聽of the centre, Dr.聽Alero Akujobi and the advocacy team聽visited the island on聽Wednesday, September 14, 2022, when the聽walk started from the gate of the study centre聽to Adetokunbo Ademola聽Street,聽and stretched to聽Eko聽Hotel area.

The team took to the streets to educate residents and onlookers about the university’s methods of operation, entrance requirements, and the fact that it is affordable and welcoming to everyone who wants to learn.

Akujobi, in reaction to one of the questions raised during the walk, explained how students would run their programme聽concurrently with whatever they were doing.

Prospective聽students were聽told of how learning in the 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN) transcends all barriers聽as聽staff do not embark on industrial actions聽akin to what happens at the聽conventional universities, thereby聽causing students and parents to have low-trust in the educational system.

On their part, the staff of the centre聽busied themselves with the聽distribution of聽leaflets to residents and onlookers as part of the聽attractive聽road walk.
