Kaduna centre at NABAIS
A high-powered delegation led by Mr. Abdullahi Yusuf, the聽Director,聽Kaduna Study Centre,聽has paid聽a courtesy visit to聽the Management of聽the聽National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies聽(NABAIS).
The team was聽received聽by the聽NABAIS聽Registrar, Prof.聽Muhammad Shafi鈥檜 Abdullahi and the聽Principal Officers of the聽board at the its聽headquarters聽located within a stone-throw of the study centre in Kaduna.
The visit,聽according to the聽registrar of the聽board, was the first of its kind from the university despite the proximity of the聽two institutions聽in the state.
Abdullahi therefore appreciated聽the effort of the management of the Kaduna Study Centre for聽initiating聽this developmental move,聽which would create and provide avenue for mutual understanding amongst two聽organisations.
He said聽there聽was need for the staff of his聽board to have adequate knowledge of the opportunities聽at their door steps聽in NOUN.
The registrar asked聽the board鈥檚 Director, Quality Assurance to quickly organise and schedule聽a date for a sensitisation and advocacy, where the NOUN聽centre will聽lay bare the opportunities of the university.
He thanked聽the director of the聽centre for the visit, stressing the need for a聽sustainable cooperation amongst the sister institutions.
Earlier in his address, the聽Director of the Kaduna Study Centre, Mr. Yusuf Abdullahi, stated that they were at聽board聽on a courtesy聽visit聽and also to showcase what the university offers.
The director added that the reason for the current visit聽was to create awareness on the existence of the university and its mode of operation.
He urged the聽management of the聽board to enrol into the system as the three basic聽philosophies聽upon聽which the university operates on聽ensure that聽enrolees聽didn’t聽leave聽a聽vacuum聽in their聽workplace.
Abdullahi then聽called on the聽management of the聽board to schedule and converge all the staff for more sensitisation and advocacy campaign.
Series of questions concerning some grey areas emanated聽from the hosting team聽and were聽adequately answered聽by the director.
