
In its drive towards achieving higher聽enrolment聽rate at the centre, the Isua-Akoko聽Community聽Study聽Centre of the 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN), has undertaken series of聽advocacy聽activities to various organisations within its environs.
One聽of聽such organisations visited was聽the Isua High School located at the heart of the town of Isua-Akoko Local Government Area of Ondo聽State.
The acting聽director聽of the centre,Dr. Ayodeji Muideen Badmus,聽who led the team of staff, expressed his appreciation聽and聽said the team was at the school to woo a large number of teachers,聽urging聽the principal and his staff to further their careers聽by聽enrolling in聽NOUN.
Badmus,聽who explained the benefits聽of enrolling into NOUN, its vision, credibility, and the advantages it has over conventional institutions, reaffirmed the mandate of the institution in taking education to the doorsteps聽of every organisation.
He聽said聽the university聽is a federal government-approved institution and is at par with any other university in the country, adding that all its programmes have been fully and duly accredited by the National聽Universities Commission (NUC) and operate its programmes on a full-time basis.
Speaking on vocational training in computer literacy, the director said the聽centre聽was also open to students who are preparing for the West African Examination Council (WAEC), Computer-Based聽Testing (CBT) examinations, pointing out that the return of the gesture will encourage both staff and students to enroll at the聽centre.
The director and his team聽later聽held an interactive session with the staff of the school where they explained the criteria for securing admission into the institution, courses, admission processes, mode of payment, registration, mode of instructional delivery, and online facilitation, among others.
In his response, the聽principal聽of the school,聽Mr. Bernard Awe,聽who welcomed the team,聽expressed his聽appreciation for the sensitisation聽visit聽and awareness about NOUN and promised to advocate for the university to attract more enrollment to the聽centre.
The team聽also visited聽the Military聽Base and Divisional Police聽Station of the community and was received by Commandant,聽B. G. Ajayi and Divisional Police Officer Mr. Gbenga Oladele, respectively.
The director also extended similar messages to the military officers in their organizations and urged them to take advantage of the various programmes offered by NOUN to upgrade themselves since learning is a life-long exercise.
The commandant and DPO equally appreciated the director for the visit and urged their officers to take advantage of NOUN to enroll and further their education.
