The Isua-Akoko Community Study Centre of the 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN), Ondo State,聽has聽taken聽its advocacy campaign to聽the聽Divisional Police聽Headquarters in Isua-Akoko community.
The聽team,聽led by the聽director,聽Dr.聽A.聽M.聽Badmus, on聽Thursday, August 25, 2022, visited the police office聽to intimate聽the new Divisional Police Officer聽(DPO),聽Mr. Akinola Eludini,聽on聽the presence of NOUN in the community.
Addressing the police officers, the director聽implored聽the officers to embrace NOUN and its benefits in the community and upgrade themselves academically.
鈥淎lthough your job requires physical efforts but developing yourself intellectually is an added advantage,鈥漢e聽said.
Badmus聽cited聽an example of a soldier who got promoted after completing his Master鈥檚 degree聽in聽NOUN .

He聽then聽enjoined聽them to seek personal development, which is a lifelong issue and important to progress in life.
The Deputy Bursar聽of the centre, Mr. Samuel Adeyeni, explained that 鈥淣OUN is open to all categories of students, while advancing, the financial flexibility聽is聽open to all students to learn at their pace.”
Adeyeni noted that NOUN is a federal university as other聽conventional聽universities聽in Nigeria, with all courses accredited by NUC.
In broadening the flexibility of NOUN, he talked about the convenience of writing聽Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA)聽at any place.
He聽took聽officers聽through a summary of the registration聽procedure,聽process of collection of course materials,聽among others.
The聽new聽DPO, Mr. Akinola Eludini, who himself is聽a student of NOUN,聽thanked the聽visiting advocacy聽team for coming and promised that his staff will enrol聽any time聽soon.
