In聽a bid to聽encourage the聽indigents聽of聽the聽community studying with the 水果派 of Nigeria聽(NOUN), the聽Isanlu聽Professors聽Forum聽has awarded聽scholarship to聽students of the community聽in order聽to further their respective studies.
The聽forum,聽led by Prof. Eyitayo Lambo,聽a聽former Minister of Health, awarded聽the聽scholarship to聽six聽indigent students comprising of postgraduates and undergraduates聽who are studying at the Isanlu Community Study Centre of NOUN..
Another son of the community, Engineer Ayo Aloko聽also聽gave聽four-year full scholarship to聽two聽undergraduate students聽of the community.
The director of the centre,聽Dr. 聽(Mrs.) Florence F. Fatimayin and her team,聽hosted the event which took place on聽September聽8,聽2023聽at the centre, located in聽Yagba-East Local Government Area, Kogi State.
Fatimayin thanked the donors and the community at large for their unwavering supports聽and for encouraging the indigents to study and enroll in the聽centre.
The Oba of Isanlu, Dr. Moses B. Etombi, who presented the scholarship awards聽to the beneficiaries, appreciated the efforts of the donors especially the聽professors forum for their various contributions to the stability and the smooth functioning of the centre.
On their part, the representatives of the awardees and their parents thanked the donors and promised to make good use of the opportunity given to them.
In attendance at the event were聽the聽Oba,聽Dr. Moses B. Etombi, representative of the聽professors forum, Isanlu聽Progressive聽Union, parents and聽聽a host of聽others.
