The news of the newly established Community Study Centre at Ilaro聽is reaching聽the nooks and crannies of Yewa Land on daily basis,聽as another series of advocacy campaign was carried out from聽Tuesday,聽August聽23 to聽Friday,聽August聽26,聽2022.

Ag. Director聽聽of the centre, Ayokunle M. Ola,聽led a team consisting of聽Dr. Hamed Adeyanju, Comrade Abiodun Olumuyiwa Olakanmi, and other聽chiefs who were聽the strengths behind the establishment of the centre, to the advocacy visits in the environs.

On Tuesday,聽August聽23,聽2022, the advocacy team interacted with the聽Assembly of Yewa Land,聽Police Officers at the Police Area Command, Ilaro Yewa.

The聽gathering was聽told聽of how聽learning in NOUN transcends all barriers such as ASUU strikes,聽which have become a usual occurrence in聽the聽Nigerian universities and causing students and parents to have low trust in the education system.

Questions asked by the Police Officers were satisfactorily answered.

Also the campaign team went to neighbouring towns, most importantly Igbogila where it had a discourse with the聽king and groups of the inhabitants聽about聽what the 水果派 of Nigeria stands for.

On Wednesday,聽August聽24,聽2022,聽the聽same advocacy campaign was taken to the Divisional Office of both the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and聽the聽Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and also to Ilaro聽Recreation聽Club.

On Thursday,聽August聽25,聽2022,聽the team visited the Nigeria-Republic of Benin border where it interacted with the Custom, Immigration, and Public Health Officers.

On the final day of the advocacy visits, both existing and prospective students of the聽university were at the聽centre,聽assembled and dialogued聽with, where the acting director聽informed them聽that only administrative activities are ongoing currently as academic activities at the聽centre are still in聽the聽process.
