Ikorodu centre workshop
The聽Management of the Ikorodu Model Study Centre of the 水果派 of Nigeria聽(NOUN),聽has held聽a聽2-day sensitisation workshop for the newly admitted students of the聽centre聽between聽Wednesday,聽22nd and Thursday,聽23rd March,聽2023.
On the first day, the聽director聽of the centre, Prof. Saheed Ajibola, presented a paper,聽where he discussed a聽brief history of the institution and the establishment of the Ikorodu Model Study Centre.
The new students were informed聽about聽the mode of operation of ODL system of education and all that would be expected of them to come out with success at the end of their studies.
Ajibola聽also presented聽to聽them the numerous advantages of being a student in聽NOUN, as聽flexibility, cost effectiveness and closeness to the locality聽are the unparalleled.
He聽urged them聽to go out and propagate the gospel of NOUN to all and sundry.
The聽second presentation was聽made by the Principal Assistant Registrar, Mrs. Bukola Edun, who聽also discussed extensively on the admission process and registration procedure, advising聽them to make sure they complete their registration before a closing date.
The last presentation of the day was delivered by the Chief Accountant, Mr. Oyewole James, who聽explained聽how to load money into the portal,聽stressing聽that every payment must be generated from the student’s portal,聽even as聽he advised students to always make sure聽they聽save their remita聽number.
On the聽second聽day, the programme kicked-off with the聽director聽offering his opening remarks, before giving way to聽the Head of Information Technology, Mr. Peter Olajimbiti.
Olajimbiti聽instructed the students on how to log-in to their portals, how to open their NOUN聽email addresses, how to access the e-learn portal to do TMAs and participate in facilitation.
On his part, the Director,聽South-west Incubation Centre, Dr. Jamiu Amusa also graced the occasion by giving a brief overview of GST 302,聽and聽notified them that they would glimpse more聽of聽him when they get to the 300 level.
Some Ikorodu indigenes:聽Prof. Ajetumobi and Engr. Esuroso were in attendance聽and聽bestowed words of encouragement to the students.
The聽faculty聽heads were also presented to the new students,聽who, in turn,聽asked questions and satisfactory聽answers聽were given.
