In an effort to achieve the greatest enrollment rate, the Gulak Community Study Centre, 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN), has undertaken a series of activities and聽visitations to various organisations within its sphere of influence.

One of such organisations the centre visited was聽the Vimtim Primary Health Care Centre, located in the outskirts of Mubi North Local Government Area of the state.

Acting director of the centre,聽Mrs. Margaret Yamtu, while addressing the staff of the Health Centre,聽said medical field is an indispensable element of society and that it cannot be ignored because of the essential roles it plays in saving the lives of humanity.

Yamtu explained that NOUN offers various courses and programmes relevant to the medical profession and cited聽the BNSc Nursing, Public Health and Environmental Health Sciences聽programmes as some of them.

The acting director,聽who described聽the profession as highly respected, harped on the flexibility nature of NOUN in catering to the needs of staff of such profession, adding that the system does not take off staff from his/her duty.

Yamtu then encouraged the staff of the center to enroll in NOUN to further their academic qualifications, as the聽2022_1 academic session of the university has began.

The Chief Nursing Officer of the Primary Health Centre,聽Mrs. Magdalene Stephen, on her part,聽expressed her satisfaction with the mode of operation of NOUN,聽adding that the system has given hope to many who give up hope of higher degree certificates.

She enjoined staff to take the advantage of the relevant medical-based courses聽of the university聽to upgrade their potentials in medical line

The advocacy drive also took the team to the palace of His Royal Highness, Emir of Gella, Alh. Sani Bello,聽who advised the management of the study centre to increase聽the level of awareness of its operation as activities of the centre are聽yet to reach the majority of his聽people.

The emir, who is a retired director of NTA,聽informed the visiting team that he knows more about NOUN as his biological children are students of the university.

He promised to spread the message to his chiefs and members of his domain and to advocate that NOUN is a better place to study.

Other places the advocacy team visited were the Staff Demonstration School,聽Federal Polytechnic,聽Mubi, Haliberth Primary School, and Mubi North Local Government Council, where similar message was extended.

The advocacy team also paid a congratulatory visit to a son of Gulak Community who became the DVC,聽Administration,聽Adamawa State University,聽Mubi,聽Dr. Steven Lagu.

Lagu expressed his elation at the visit and promised to cement the relationship between NOUN and Adamawa State University.
