The Director,聽Abeokuta Study Centre,聽水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN),聽Dr.Olusegun Adeleke Oba-Adenuga,聽has led some members of聽staff聽on a familiarisation tour to聽Abeokuta Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta聽to create more awareness about the activities of the university.
Oba-Adenuga, who appreciated the school for the opportunity,聽said聽the purpose of the visit was to聽bring to the fore the standing of聽NOUN as an Open and Distance Learning聽(ODL)聽institution that provides academic learning to teachers and students who want to learn at their own pace.
He highlighted some聽of the聽programmes聽the university聽offers,聽including聽the benefits as well as聽the mode of聽study聽to his listeners and聽urged them to聽make聽the right choice during聽enrolment.
The聽visiting team聽was happy to answer questions regarding the聽level of聽recognition of聽the NOUN certification by the state government, to which the director replied that “NOUN is a聽federal university moderated by the National Universities Commission like any other university in Nigeria. Therefore, our certificate is acceptable by both聽federal and聽state ministries and聽establishments.”
The聽interaction proved to be positive and productive as the聽school promised聽to聽continue to provide a platform to sensitise聽their teachers and students about NOUN.
