The Director, Special Study Centre for the Nigerian Police Force, Dr.聽Samson. S.聽Afolabi and the Coordinator聽of the Special聽Study聽Centres, Mrs. Modupe Adesina, National聽Open聽University of Nigeria聽(NOUN), have聽paid a familiarisation visit to the new Director of聽Police聽Education, Assistant Commissioner of聽Police Ibidapo Olubiyi,聽in his office.
The purposeful, impactful and fruitful meeting,聽which had all the head of units in the police education took place on聽Friday,聽September聽1, 2023.
The聽centre聽director, after informing聽his host聽of the uniqueness of the university,聽reminded the gathering of聽the importance education聽as well as its obvious impacts on every sector of the nation and national development.
On her part, Mrs. Adesina聽reiterated聽the significance of聽the centre to the police force as a whole and the expectations of the university from the institution.
Responding,聽ACP Olubiyi聽expressed his delight to have hosted the NOUN team,聽revealling聽his willingness to give maximum support to the study centre.
He also聽promised to lead the聽centre鈥檚聽wave of advocacy聽campaigns聽to the police barrack at any time the centre is set to do so.
