Odeigha handing over to his successor
The outgoing聽bursar聽of the 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN),聽Mr.聽Ernest Odeigah, has聽handed over the affairs to the newly appointed bursar, Malam Nasiru Marafa at a brief ceremony held at the university headquarters in Abuja.
Odeigah, who saw off his 5-year tenure on September 17, 2022,聽expressed gratitude to the management of the institution for giving him聽the聽opportunity to聽offer his services.
He said聽in his hand-over speech that it has been a great聽opportunity to聽serve聽as聽the聽bursar and was glad that he left with mostly positive experiences throughout his tenure in the university.
The former bursar聽also extolled the university for fostering a healthy working聽environment where every staff could thrive and grow, adding聽that聽he聽was聽pleased with the great deal聽of experience聽he gained while聽serving聽as the bursar of聽NOUN.
Odeigah also聽commended聽his聽bursary聽staff for being聽reliable support聽system and the actual people who kept the bursary efficiently run, who,聽as a team,聽have聽achieved a lot聽by聽working聽hard to make sure聽that聽all staff complaints were resolved.
He聽urged them to cooperate with the new bursar and to take every task assigned to them seriously so聽that聽the culture of excellence would be maintained.
While聽thanking聽God for聽the opportunity to discharge聽his duties to the best of his ability, he聽also urged his successor to do well and even surpass him in achievements so that they all could leave a positive lasting legacy聽in the university.
In his response, the new聽bursar,聽Mr.聽Nasir Marafa,聽thanked his predecessor for聽leading聽the聽bursary in an efficient and effective manner聽and wished him well聽in all his future undertakings.
