
Science practical
The Faculty of Sciences, 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN),听has commenced聽the聽2023_1聽laboratory practical in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science for students of the university聽across the country.
The exercise,听which forms聽part of the requirements for graduation in the institution, is聽scheduled to hold between聽May聽2 to聽May聽20,听2023,听holding simultaneously聽in聽all the six geo-political zones聽of Nigeria.
Bauchi and Yola聽Study聽Centres聽have been designated to host聽all the science students of the North-east region聽for the exercise.
The Dean,听Faculty of Sciences, Prof.聽Kolawole Lawal monitored the commencement of the exercise at the of Bauchi Study Centre, where he was聽flanked聽by聽the director聽of the centre, Hauwa Dede.
In聽Yola, the聽centre director,听Mrs. Tiling Marling Yelyel, while聽welcoming聽the students, charged the technologists to give the students the best training by going through the syllabus and ensuring that all聽the participants聽master the聽needed聽skills.
She also advised the students to use this great opportunity to develop themselves, stressing that聽their participation would聽be marked as part of their assessment and their daily attendance聽would be crucial.
Yelyel聽urged the students to be disciplined throughout the period of the practical as the exercise doesn’t only provide knowledge but also give moral behaviour
狈翱鲍狈听狈别飞蝉聽gathered that the laboratory practical,听which is聽an integral part of聽the聽science courses,听tests students聽and聽grades聽them聽on hands-on practical聽aspect of their respective courses, constituting聽15% of the TMA.
The practical sessions聽have been slated to聽hold聽between聽Mondays聽to Saturdays,听from聽9.00am to 6.00pm in three聽daily聽sessions,听while the 3rd session accommodates聽working-class students who would need to be at work in the morning.
Students dress in a white-sleeve laboratory coat,听even as聽practical manuals聽have been聽provided to record observations and their聽respective聽reports.
