
The advocacy team of the聽Awa-Ijebu聽Community聽Study聽Centre,聽水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN),聽has聽recently visited Ijebu-Ode Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State to enlighten secondary school principals in the zone on the聽university’s programmes and the benefits therein.
The team聽was聽comprised聽of the聽centre director, Dr.聽Olufunke M. Osikomaiya, Academic聽Counsellor, Dr.聽Adebanjo Adekunle and the Assistant Registrar,聽Mr. Victor O. Sokefun.
Adekunle,聽who made a presentation聽that聽centred on the vision and mission statement of the university, explained in details the聽various聽programmes being offered聽in NOUN.
He went further to enlighten the principals on the various faculties, departments and levels of education which students could take advantage of.
“Unlike other conventional institutions across the nation, students of NOUN can study at any place at their own pace,”聽the centre鈥檚 academic聽counsellor聽said.
Adekunle encouraged the principals,聽teachers聽and聽staff of secondary schools, as well as the聽secondary school graduates聽to聽take advantage of such flexible and quality education.
On his part, the聽the centre director intimated the principals of the acceptability and viability of NOUN courses and certificates,聽stating聽that all courses run at the university are duly accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Sokefun used to the chance to聽share flyers to all principals present and took pictures as the presentation went on.
The anchor of the meeting appreciated the centre and advised聽that for聽subsequent visits,聽the team should聽notify聽the Commissioner of Education in Ogun State declaring its intention on a further visit to secondary school students.
