Awa-Ijebu advocacy visit to the Oba

The advocacy team of the Awa-Ijebu聽Community聽Study聽Centre of the 水果派 of Nigeria聽(NOUN)聽has聽embarked on a series of advocacy drives in the community聽by visiting聽both聽government and聽private institutions聽to enhance enrollement.

The centre had initially dispatched聽letters to various organisations, including religious groups, local government聽areas, hospitals, media houses, military units, and the police station聽for聽subsiquent audiences to showcase聽the聽university’s activities.

The team, led by the former聽study聽centre聽director,聽Prof. Timothy Ishola and聽his successor,聽Dr. Olufunke Osikomaiya, visited HRH Oba Habib Amos Awobajo, Limeri of Awa-Ijebu Kingdom for an introduction,聽familiarisation and discussion聽about NOUN and the community.

On his part, the Oba聽expressed his support and acknowledged the need for more public awareness about the university.

At the second point of call, the team聽visited and participated in the Diocesan Annual Women’s Conference programme聽held at聽the聽Bishop Awosoga, where the centre director,聽Dr. Olufunke Osikomaiya and Mrs. Mary Omotayo,聽addressed the audience on聽 NOUN’s programmes and its merits such as the flexibility, affordability, and quality education it brings聽to聽the doorstep聽of Nigerians.

They were also at the聽Ijebu Ode General Hospital, in which聽the duo of聽Dr.聽Kunle Adebanjo and Mrs. Mary Omotayo explained聽the聽NOUN’s admission process, encouraging staff to apply for programmes, even as聽the centre director expressed gratitude to the hospital’s management for the opportunity.

The hospital’s Chief Medical Director,聽Dr. Adeoye Banjo, thanked聽the advocacy team for coming to enlighten聽the聽staff聽of the hospital聽and encouraged the participants to utilise NOUN’s聽programmes.
