The Vice-Chancellor, 水果派 of Nigeria聽(NOUN), Prof. Olufemi Peters has approved the appointment of a member of staff of the Directorate of Media and Publicity (DMP) of the university, Joy Vihimga Akiga,聽as the Regional Media Officer (RMO) for North Central聽Zone.
This is contained in a memo dated聽May聽5, 2022, and signed by Mrs. Mafo E. Esuga on behalf of the Registrar, Mr. Felix I. Edoka.
The memo reads in parts: “I write on behalf of the Registrar to convey the Vice-Chancellor’s approval of your deployment as the Regional Media Officer covering the North Central geopolitical zone.
“Please note that this deployment is with immediate effect and all other condition of your service remained unchanged,” Esuga said聽in the memo.
While introducing Akiga in a letter of introduction to the Directorate of Learner Support Services (DLSS), the Director, Directorate of Media and Publicity (DMP), Mallam Ibrahim Sheme, said “by this deployment she (Akiga) is to cover all media activities of the Study Centres in the zone.
“I hereby request that you kindly write and inform the Study Centre Directors about the appointment so that they can accord Ms. Akiga the necessary support whenever she visits or contacts them,” Sheme聽said.
Akiga,聽who will cover about 20 NOUN Study Centres within the North Central Zone,聽has since resumed duty.
