New Fagge Centre Director
The Fagge Community Study Centre聽of the 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN)聽in Kano State, had witnessed聽a leadership聽change聽where Dr. Kamalu Alkasim relieved Mr. Ibrahim Shehu.
In a letter dated February 10, 2026 and signed by the Director, Human Resources, Dr. Muyiwa Akintola, Shehu has been redeployed to聽Rimin Gado Community Study Centre, Kano State,聽as the Ag. Director.
The formal transition ceremony,聽which took place at the聽centre聽in Kano, was brief and聽colourful.
Mr.聽Shehu, in his hand over remarks, appreciated the dedication, hardwork and focus of the entire staff of Fagge聽Community Study Centre toward realisation of the mandate of the NOUN.
He聽commended the university management and the entire staff of the聽centre who聽created an environment conducive to achieving notable successes as director.
Shehu聽encouraged the staff to replicate the same聽gesture for the benefit of the incoming聽director聽so as to聽promote聽continuity.
Speaking shortly after receiving the mantle of聽leadership,聽Dr. Kamalu Alkasim emphasised the need for staff鈥檚聽collective collaboration and support in order to achieve the university鈥檚聽stated vision and mission of providing comprehensive, flexible, accessible, affordable quality Open and Distance Learning聽education to all Nigerians.
He reiterated his commitment to increasing students enrollment and retention through comprehensive and robust advocacy strategies.
Alkasim, therefore, expressed his gratitude to the university management for entrusting him with the mandate to lead the聽centre as its new director and appreciated聽the trust placed in him聽by聽promising聽to steer the centre towards greater heights.
