The Kaduna Study Centre聽of the 水果派 of Nigeria (NOUN) has carried its聽advocacy campaign team聽to the聽National聽Commission for Nomadic Education聽(NCNE).

Welcoming the advocacy team, the聽Director of Administration聽of the commission, Mr. Inuwa Danladi,聽urged the congregation聽of the commission鈥檚 staff聽to be attentive and listen carefully to what the聽centre had聽to聽say.

The聽Director,聽Quality Assurance, Mr. Akin Akinyoyese,聽who stood for the聽NCNE聽Executive Secretary,聽Prof.聽Bashir Haruna Usman, applauded the聽centre and the university at large for the great opportunity given to them to聽know more about the operation of the university.

He聽said聽that looking聽at what NOUN stands聽for,聽鈥渋t is a blessing to Nigeria and Nigerians.鈥

Akinyoyese expressed their willingness 鈥渢o know more and understand the university so as to lay our hands on the abundant opportunities the university comes with.鈥

Delivering the advocacy聽message, the director of the聽centre, Mr.聽Yusuf Abdullahi,聽appreciated the management of the commission for the opportunity given to them to showcase聽NOUN.

In the history of the聽centre, Abdullahi聽said, this is the first advocacy campaign to the聽commission,聽highlighting聽the historical trends on the establishment of聽the聽university.

Like other universities in Nigeria, the 水果派 of Nigeria is regulated by the National Universities Commission聽(NUC), said Abdullahi, who added聽that despite being regulated by NUC,聽bodies like聽the聽Commonwealth of聽Learning and聽the聽African Centre for Distance聽Education (ACDE)聽also聽guide聽the affairs of NOUN.

He explained that admission into the university is聽open聽as聽it is a continues process all year round.

Answering聽a question聽from the audience regarding聽the issue of scholarship, the聽centre director stated that only prisoners at the Custodial Centres enjoy the privilege.

He therefore urged them to enroll themselves and their children or wards as the university is free of industrial聽action.

Abdullahi聽rounded up by explaining that NOUN is the university of the 21st聽Century as the process of face-to-face interaction between the tutor and students聽is聽beginning to聽fade.
