The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr.聽Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe Musa has urged the management of the 水果派 of Nigeria to聽adopt聽digital technology in teaching and learning.

She said this during聽the 9th 水果派 of Nigeria’s Staff School聽Speech and聽Prize-Giving聽Day, held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 in聽Kaduna.

The Deputy Governor,聽represented by聽the聽Permanent Secretary,聽Ministry of Education聽in the state,聽Dr. Halliru Musa Soba, promised to facilitate the聽supply聽of Nigerian E-Learning Passport (Tablets) to聽NOUN聽Staff School.

According to her,聽the聽e-Learning聽passport and other digital information platforms deployed聽by the state government in the education sector聽have been making the desired impacts by聽increasing the digital聽knowledge of聽both the聽pupils聽and their teachers.

Musa said the state government聽has聽since declared state of emergency聽to engage聽digital technology in the education sector of the state.

She disclosed that聽the state聽now聽uses聽the digital聽tools聽to monitor the activities of the teachers and the pupils in various schools聽of聽the state.

The聽deputy聽governor explained聽that the state聽government had,聽in聽the聽last聽eight聽years,聽reduced聽to a minimal index of enrollment聽the聽gap between girl child and male child.

Musa, therefore, congratulated the staff and management of NOUN Staff School for the giant stride and聽achievement聽of聽starting聽with only eight pupils聽in 2012聽but has now grown to have聽more than 400 in 2023.

She encouraged the pupils to read harder and to know that education is the bedrock for聽human capital development.聽“Without education,聽there would not聽be human capital.鈥澛燿evelopment.

Earlier in his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor,聽Prof.聽Olufemi Peters, who is also the Special聽Guest of聽Honour,聽said he was impressed with the performance of the pupils and declared that the credit goes to the staff and the director聽Centre for Human Resource Development, Dr. Aminu Umar.

Peters, represented by his deputy, administration, Prof. Isaac Butswat,聽said the聽NOUN聽Staff School聽has聽a lot of potential and activities聽like聽this are more of a talent聽hunt because of the displayed songs and in choreography.

The VC said he was delighted with the introduction of International Languages like Arabic and French, saying that 鈥渋n future the management may consider聽introducing聽more of its kind.鈥

He聽thanked聽the state聽government and appealed to them to聽key-in to assist the school which will be pivotal in聽the聽development of聽education聽in Kaduna state, even as he聽urged the staff and the pupils to make sure聽that聽the keep it up and continue doing their best.

At the occasion, the聽pioneer聽director of the聽Kaduna Study Centre, and the聽Guest聽Speaker, Prof.聽Nuhu Lawrence Garba, delivered a paper聽titled:聽“Basic Education in Era of Artificial intelligence:聽A Tool for Teaching and聽Learning.”

Presentations of gifts聽and certificates聽to the pupils who made outstanding performance in their academic activities聽climaxed the ceremony.
