The聽immediate-past Director of聽the聽Abeokuta Study Centre,聽Prof. Olusegun Adeleke Oba-Adenuga has officially handed over the mantle of leadership of the centre to his successor, Dr. Oyekunle A .Adegboyega.
Oba-Adenuga was among聽some of聽the聽teaching聽staff聽at the helms of affairs of study centres聽recalled to the聽Faculty of Education in a letter dated February聽5, 2024.
The former director expressed his gratitude to聽Almighty God for making it possible for him to move the study centre聽to a greater height.
“The Abeokuta Study聽Centre聽I met in February 2020 was nothing compared to how I left it now. I thank God Almighty for helping me to achieve this great success. I pray for the new director to achieve more and better than my result. Please support him,” he said.
He commended staff of the centre for their tremendous support towards taking the centre to a greater height and encouraged them to accord the new director all聽the聽necessary support and cooperation to succeed.
In his response, the new director, Dr.聽Oyekunle A.聽Adegoyega expressed happiness on the serene environment of the study centre and further eulogised his predecessor for聽the聽hard-work聽during his tenure at the centre.
Adegoyega聽thanked the university聽management for finding him worthy to head the leadership of the centre and promised to work聽harmoniously聽with all members of staff of the study centre.
